DIRECTOR OF SOCCER

Vinny is a favorite among our campers, inspiring quite a few to take up soccer who had never played before and helping to improve the skills of those that are already well entrenched. Vinny has 25 years of experience coaching and 40 years playing soccer. He is in his 16th season at Middle Georgia State University. Vinny currently coaches the women’s program, but he spent his first six years at MGSU as coach of both the men’s and women’s programs. He was the GCAA women’s Coach of the Year in 2007 and men’s Coach of the Year in 2010. Vinny was named the SSAC Coach of the Year for the 2020-2021 season and has led his team to back-to-back NAIA Opening Round selections in 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. Originally from Ireland, Vinny has spent time coaching in the NAIA and NJCAA with different schools and spent one year coaching professionally with the Jacksonville Cyclones.
