Where is Camp Arrow Wood?
We’re located in Pittsfield, MA in the heart of the Berkshires.
Is there a staff uniform?
While we are not a uniform camp, we will provide you with a camp shirts and other apparel.
How do I get to camp?
You can fly, drive, or take the bus. We’re an hour away from the Albany, NY (ALB) and Hartford, CT (BDL) airports, and we will send a shuttle to pick you up.
My coach/advisor/university says I need to be back at school early. Can I leave a few days before camp ends or is there any flexibility?
All days are important at camp, but we are also looking for great people. Depending on the situation, we may have some flexibility to work with you.
I live outside the U.S. – Can I apply to work at Camp Arrow Wood?
Of course! Depending on where you are from and your visa status, you may have to work with an international staff placement agency. Please contact us to discuss.
Where will I live?
Each cabin will have counselors, and 6-8 campers. Directors live in a separate building with individual rooms. Additionally, we have separate accommodations for nurses, doctors, and support staff.
Will I have internet access?
Yes. Unplugging to connect is one of the greatest benefits of summer camp and we expect our counselors to lead by example. Staff members are able to use their phones and other electronic devices on periods off. We ask that you use them out of sight of the campers and not allow them access (no matter how many times they ask).
